HMAS Albany was an Armidale-class patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy, named for the port city of Albany in Western Australia and commissioned there on 15 July 2006. Built by Austal at Henderson, she is 56.8 metres long, powered by twin MTU diesel engines to speeds of up to 25 knots, and armed with a stabilised 25 mm Bushmaster cannon and two 12.7 mm machine guns, supported by two RHIBs for boarding operations and close-in tasks.
