HMAS Sheean is the only submarine in the Collins-class fleet named after an enlisted sailor, Ordinary Seaman Edward 'Teddy' Sheean VC. Carrying the motto “Fight On,” the submarine honours Sheean’s extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, a legacy that resonates deeply throughout the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
