HMAS Ovens was an Oberon-class submarine commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy in 1969. Built in Scotland, she was one of the six submarines that transformed Australia’s undersea warfare capabilities. Ovens was involved in a range of operations, from anti-submarine warfare exercises to intelligence-gathering missions, often working closely with allied navies.
