The second of three ships of the Hobart Class guided missile destroyers, HMAS Brisbane is the third of her namesake. Fondly known as ‘the Steel Cat’, Brisbane became the first RAN ship to successfully fire a Tomahawk missile in 2024, making Australia one of only three countries to have the capability to fire such a weapon.
