Commissioned in 1992 and decommissioned in 2019, Melbourne participated in key operations in the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East, upholding the motto “Vires Acquirit Eundo” - “She Gathers Strength As She Goes.” Her sophisticated systems and helicopter operations extended her reach and effectiveness, making her a cornerstone of the modern fleet.
